Finnish private equity investor Sponsor Capital together with management, Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company and a private equity fund managed by eQ will acquire all Fonecta Group companies from Triton Partners. In the transaction, the Fonecta Group companies specializing in digital marketing, taxi and information services (Fonecta Ltd, 020202 Services Ltd, 02 Taksi Ltd, 020202 Solutions Ltd and OIKIO Digital Performance Agency) will be transferred to the ownership of Sponsor.

Under Triton ownership, Fonecta Group has successfully transformed from a traditional contact information provider into a pioneer in digital services. The companies are strongly connected to the everyday life of Finns; for example, the Fonecta Caller mobile application has almost 100 000 paying subscribers and Fonecta users make 1.4 million searches daily. Over 1.5 million taxi rides are ordered via 02 Taksi every year.
The Group’s estimated revenue in 2023 is approximately EUR 70 million.
The change of ownership will not impact the companies’ employees, customers or partners. The completion of the transaction requires the approval of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
