We seek to enhance awareness of the venture capital and private equity industry as a cornerstone of sustainable economic growth throughout Finland. Venture capital and private equity play a significant role in Finnish society, and the success of the growth company ecosystem propels the entire country forward.
We aim to make a constructive contribution to policy affecting venture capital and private equity investors. Our goal is to establish a world-class operating environment where venture capital and private equity investors are seen as positive contributors to growth.

We want Finland to be the best place for entrepreneurs, talent, and investors. This way, together, we build sustainable growth and employment in Finland.

Statements
The Finnish Venture Capital Association makes proposals and provides statements to ministries, parliamentary committees, and other entities regarding the prerequisites for growth. It is important to us that we build new and sustainable economic growth in Finland.

The Finnish Venture Capital Association strives to create conditions for growth.
We believe in the power of collaboration. We are a widely and strongly networked actor as well as a sought-after partner. We collaborate with other stakeholders to promote positive dialogue between the venture capital and private equity industry, policymakers, the media, and the public, in order to increase understanding of the venture capital and private equity industry and its significance for the growth ecosystem and for Finland as a whole.
We provide information and solutions to policymakers and actively participate in initiatives related to the industry’s operating environment, as well as in public discourse.
We conduct advocacy both in Finland and at the EU level. We issue statements on draft legislation and participate in parliamentary committee hearings and legislative working groups. We also maintain self-regulation pertaining to the venture capital and private equity industry. Our advocacy work is supported by eight committees.
At the EU level, we conduct advocacy work in close collaboration with Invest Europe, which serves as the industry’s umbrella organisation in Brussels. We actively participate in Invest Europe’s activities through its working groups and committees, with the aim of providing member companies with current information on European legislative initiatives and conveying the views of the Finnish venture capital and private equity industry on these matters.
We generate a wealth of information to support our advocacy efforts. Annually, we release several statistical overviews on the industry’s development and impact.
We offer our members a variety of information and education on legislation affecting the industry and future trends in the field.
