Private equity investor Voland Partners invests in the Finnish marketing technology pioneer Luxid Group

News

Luxid is a rare marketing agency in Finland, as the company’s main markets are abroad. Global giants like AWS and Dell utilize the company’s expertise.

The Finnish private equity investor Voland Partners invests in the marketing company Luxid Group, known globally for its technological expertise.

With the financing, Luxid will accelerate its international growth, particularly in the United States. Voland Partners will become a minority shareholder in Luxid Group.

“Luxid is a hidden gem and a world-class marketing technology company. What particularly impressed us was the company’s genuine and significant international footprint. The fastest growth will be occurring in the United States. Growth will also be fueled by acquisitions,” says  Erkka Niemi, a Founding Partner of Voland Partners.

In recent years, Luxid has won several significant international technology clients, such as Amazon Web Services and Dell. In Finland, the company serves numerous listed companies, including Outokumpu, Kalmar, and Mandatum in digital marketing operations both domestically as well as globally.

Luxid has offices in Austin, London, Helsinki, and Turku.

“Our technology-focused end-to-end service has proven its competitiveness also in the United States. There, data and measurability are at the heart of everything, especially in technology companies. We can offer comprehensive services and customized partnerships in the U.S. market, to which the biggest players in the industry may not necessarily adapt,” says Pasi Voho, Chief Executing Officer of Luxid Group.

The goal is to double Luxid Groups revenue over the next two years from the current approximately 15 million euros to 30 million euros. Growth will also be driven by acquisitions.

“Luxid has a superior ability to help its clients build marketing technology capabilities. At Voland, we assist in strategy work as well as in developing the offering and expertise,” says Niemi.

Measurable results make the difference

Luxid’s technological expertise becomes evident when companies seek tools from data and artificial intelligence to drive data-driven management and sales growth.

The data produced by marketing often goes underutilized, and in companies building competitiveness with AI, the quality handling of data becomes an even more essential factor in sales growth, says Susanna Juusti, Chief Operating Officer of  Luxid Group.

“In our client discussions, the dominant question is whether existing technology is being used efficiently.Finnish companies have an opportunity to gain a competitive edge when the data generated by marketing is more closely integrated into the company’s overall data-driven management.”

“When data is used correctly, measurable results are also achieved,” adds Voho.

Artificial intelligence eliminates noise

Luxid extensively utilizes artificial intelligence in its client work and AI supports the company’s creative work.

Generative AI applications assist different teams in creating content more efficiently than before or in getting familiar with the client’s products significantly faster than before.

“AI is not a threat. It changes the work and the ways human creativity is utilized in client work. In practice, this is evident, for example, when we familiarize ourselves with a client’s product, where the product description may be several tens of pages long PDF document. AI condenses the content in seconds,” says Juusti.

“With high-quality data and AI, we can make marketing communications more useful, timely, and targeted for the recipient. At its best, marketing then becomes a value-added service before the actual customer relationship is established,” says Juusti.

For Luxid’s clients, AI enables, for example, more precise targeting of marketing and and the ability to anticipate changes in the market and customer needs.

“Previously, cost-effective customization of content was a bottleneck. With the help of AI, this barrier can be tackled. Thanks to more precise targeting and customization, AI eliminates the noise caused by marketing that is not useful to anyone,” says Voho.
