1.7M EUR Funding for CooliBlade to Boost Market Expansion
Oulu, Finland – CooliBlade, a leader in innovative thermal management technology, has secured 1.7 million EUR in funding through new investments from Innovestor and the Business Finland Deep Tech Accelerator program. This investment will accelerate the commercialization plans for CooliBlade’s groundbreaking NEOcore technology. In this funding round, Innovestor joined Butterfly Ventures in supporting CooliBlade; both investors are known as some of the most active deep tech VCs in the Nordics. The Business Finland Deep Tech program, in turn, accelerates the most promising startups with the potential to disrupt entire industries and secures funding for the next three years for the business scale-up of CooliBlade.
Addressing Global Challenges with Cutting-Edge Solutions
With approximately 75-80% of global CO₂ emissions resulting from burning fossil fuels, there is an urgent need for electrification and a green transition. Effective thermal management is crucial for the performance and lifespan of power electronic products. CooliBlade’s patented NEOcore technology offers the most efficient cooling solution for power electronics, such as renewable energy and EV chargers, achieving thermal conductivity up to 1,000 times greater than traditional heat sinks. This enables significantly higher power levels and extends the lifespan of power electronics. The technology is also cost-effective, thanks to its innovative design and optimized mechanical structure. Unlike current state-of-the-art heat pipes that dry out and cause overheating at high power densities, NEOcore technology supports much higher power density limits, providing a significant advantage for power electronics developers.
