Koll Group Oy, a Salo-based startup, has received a significant investment from venture capital firm Superhero Capital. Koll’s phone app aims to solve the biggest problems of today’s telecommunications by offering a completely new way to make and receive calls.
Koll envisions the world moving away from traditional phone calling to Koll calling, where the user can always trust the identity of the caller and understand the purpose of the call. The company’s exceptionally bold ambition is underpinned by the fact that more than 500 million unwanted calls are made worldwide every day, which has led to calls no longer being answered and companies no longer reaching their customers by phone. Doctors, recruiters and parcel delivery companies, for example, are finding it difficult to reach people as more and more people are not answering strange numbers at all.
The Koll app enables secure and trusted calls, where both parties always know who is calling and what it’s about. The app meets the needs of businesses to reach their customers and individuals to answer only the calls that are important to them. At the same time, it gets rid of scam calls. For the time being, the app is free for everyone to use and can be downloaded from app stores.
Superhero Capital’s seed funding of €400k is a significant vote of confidence. The investment will support Koll Group’s growth objectives and enable faster expansion into international markets.“Superhero Capital’s investment is a significant step for us. Koll aims for rapid growth and international success. Koll is planning a commercial launch of the enterprise version of the app in spring 2025.The Koll app is currently in beta testing and already has thousands of users. The company has received a lot of positive feedback on its solution.
