Gorilla Capital Fund III has made its 41st investment in 3DBear — an education technology company using immersive simulations and AI to bring real-world learning into every classroom.
3DBear’s platform, Simuna, helps students gain practical, work-based skills through interactive, pedagogically designed simulations that mirror real workplaces. The solution allows teachers to focus more on guiding and inspiring students — while learners build the confidence and capabilities they need for the future of work.
Education systems worldwide face a growing challenge: teachers have less time, resources are stretched, and vocational learning often struggles to stay aligned with the changing job market. Simuna tackles this by transforming professional education into an accessible, scalable digital experience — one that connects schools, learners, and employers more effectively.
The new funding will enable 3DBear to expand Simuna into new vocational sectors, further develop its Simuna AI production model, and measure how digital learning impacts both student outcomes and teacher wellbeing.
“Education should be about confidence and capability, not just content,” says Jussi Kajala, Co-founder and CEO of 3DBear.
“With Simuna, we bring real workplaces into the classroom through immersive, guided experiences. Teachers gain more time to teach, and students gain the skills they need to succeed in their first job. This new investment allows us to scale that vision across new vocational sectors and measure its impact at a national level.”
“What impressed us about 3DBear is how they’ve translated deep educational insight into a scalable, capital-efficient business,” says Kirsi Vine-Haaparinne, Partner at Gorilla Capital.
“3DBear is not just digitizing learning — it’s redefining how learning connects to real work. The team has progressed with discipline and proof-first thinking. That’s the essence of how sustainable companies — and lasting impact — are built.”
